Children's Museum - Bloomington, Il.

local new reported tonight that this museum had received a $51,000 stimulus grant to install solar panels that will save the museum approximately $2,000 a year. Let me use my math abilities. Let's see, it will take 25 years to recoup the expense. How much will be needed to maintain and replace these panels over 25 years??? Good question, Merle.

So the supplier of electricity loses revenue but the manufacturer of the panels makes a bundle.

I hear the local unfunded PRM is seeking stimulus money also to go green. I also heard today that federal spending is up 13% over last year.

But Obama says with the feel good season now here, our financial problems will be offset by knowing deep in our hearts that we are "doing the right thing" and we will all have that good fuzzy "green" feeling.

Someday Dick Cheney's memoirs will make him look pretty good and oil will still be at $80-100 a barrel.

Hm.
