Corruption Comes From Too Long in Power

As long ago (1887) an atributed quote by Lord Acton (John Edward Dalberg), "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men (and today, women) are almost always bad men and (women), even when they excercise influence and not authority, still more when you superadd the tendency or the certainy of corruption by authority  There is no worse heresy than that the office sactifies the holder of it....."

I served 10 years in minor public office. It is seldom in the best interests of the overall when people become career politicians. I have witnessed it first hand.

Nor was it the intent of our 1770 fathers.

Look where it has gotten this country that showed such tremendous promise and now is occuppied by people under fear, worry and the resulting stress.
