The most noxious publicized comment came from a woman schoolteacher who said "my students come up and hug me. What would they think if I had a 'concealed' weapon on my body'? Yes, especially if she were a lesbian or transvestite. No one is asking that ALL teachers be armed. A sad example of what is wrong with our public school system and another reason why so many parents are going more and more to home schooling.
Hug your students? Setting your school up for a major lawsuit? Lawsuits are filed for even touching a student in many schools.
Obama is working in his snaky way, mainly behind the scenes, to eventually get the names, addresses and number an types of firearms used by ordinary citizens as he has always been laying his plans for a third and then fourth term. After, that, he plans to rule this unarmed country one way or another.
His herd of poorly educated and the ill-informed is following him. Even Biden, in his smirky ways, is trying to make it look like he is not in "lock-step" with his master by attempting to blame his committees "investigating" tragedies that have little to do with guns but with mentally troubled and disturbed humans. These crazies abide by the hundreds of thousands, products of our failed urban public schools systems and court systems in this 'compassionate' U.S.A.
Some would disagree, blaming the parents. But parents often are products of our public school systems. Peers and teachers can offset the best intentions of the best parents. And our failing drug control systems and sex and violence "entertainment" Hollywood types. What a mess.
I agree with enforcing existing laws. Just enforce the laws that are supposedly in place and put crazies under proper medical care as soon as they are recognized as being "mentally disturbed". And, yes, they are recognized but current laws prevent proper actions be taken.
More, not less, guns in the hands of sane people and concealed carry by sane people.
